There is a Dog Control bylaw in effect on Bowen Island which requires that dogs be on a leash or under control of a competent person while on a highway or public place. No dogs allowed during the months of July and August on Sandy, Tunstall and Bowen Bay beaches. The Animal Control Officer may seize and impound dogs unlawfully at large.
